From November 21 to December 30, 2025, the Metz Christmas Market will be spread over five iconic squares in the city, each offering a unique experience to visitors.

The Lantern Trail, already popular in previous editions, is getting a makeover with 14 new light creations. For snow sports enthusiasts, a 500 m² synthetic ice rink has been installed on the Esplanade. This environmentally friendly surface allows visitors to indulge in the pleasures of skiing without meteorological constraints. In addition, an original initiative will delight visitors: free boat trips are offered every 25 minutes from the Moyen Pont, thus offering a unique perspective on the Metz Christmas market illuminated from the Moselle.

Santa Claus' floating sleigh represents an essential fairy experience. This 100% electric and free boat offers a 20-minute ride on the Lake with an exceptional view of the Lantern Trail, the cathedral and the New Temple. Accessible to people with reduced mobility, the departure is from the Moyen-Pont pontoon. Without prior reservation, this sleigh welcomes visitors every Wednesday, Friday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 21, and then daily until December 30, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. (closed on December 24 and 25).

In addition, “Céleste”, the immersive show at Temple Neuf, offers a unique sensory experience from November 14, 2025 to February 2, 2026. Over 40 minutes, this poetic journey in five acts transforms the architecture of the monument thanks to 15 video projectors, 20 light projectors and an original soundtrack by Ena Eno.
